Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Marshawn Kneeland died early Thursday morning, the team announced. He was 24.
"It is with extreme sadness that the Dallas Cowboys share that Marshawn Kneeland tragically passed away this morning," the Cowboys said in a statement. "Marshawn was a beloved teammate and member of our organization. Our thoughts and prayers regarding Marshawn are with his girlfriend Catalina and his family."
Kneeland's agent, Jonathan Perzley, said in a statement, "I am shattered to confirm that my client and dearest friend Marshawn Kneeland passed away last night. I watched him fight his way from a hopeful kid at Western Michigan with a dream to being a respected professional for the Dallas Cowboys. Marshawn poured his heart into every snap, every practice, and every moment on the field. To lose someone with his talent, spirit, and goodness is a pain I can hardly put into words.

A college friend of mine, who was on the swim team, collapsed during practice and died right there by the pool. Turns out he had a thin spot on his heart wall, which eventually burst open.
Until further proof, I’ll say died suddenly.

Chuck Hughes dropped dead on the field, and he was only 28. As a lifelong Lions fan, it was a day I’ll never forget.

Yeah. Like Anne Coulter said about it taking a while to determine the race of some shooter - well, we know he wasn’t white, or they would have breathlessly reported that from the git-go.
i.e. Without a statement about cause of death, I suspect it was not something benign, like an accident.
Hush child! If people here could see the truth of this statement, then a lot of them would have nothing to post when it is reported some celebrity dies.
My two college roommates died in 2023 from the United States Naval Academy. Perfectly healthy. Myocarditis. People are dying from turbo cancer all around me. CNN will not tell you this. You can have my shot and boosters. Pure bloods rule. No one I have met is joyous about getting the shot except maybe you.

And just to give more context, I compiled this list of sudden deaths (or in a few instances, sudden collapses where the person survived) that occurred in 2017, well before COVID. They received little press because there was no political agenda to be served by publicizing them. But they occurred nonetheless. All tragic. And none of them caused by COVID vaxes.

Sad. I still don’t really understand Depression, but I know enough to know it’s something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. And usually the suicide is the first clue to most people that someone had it.
It was by suicide- he and his family have a long history of mental illness....
It ran deep in his family- there were all kinds of reports prior to the draft that could not be shared or publicized....Think Randy Gregory but worse.
that’s so sad - he must have had great athletic ability. what a waste.
