Vaccines are important and valuable.

The COVID shot is not a true vaccine. It is a fallacy to group all vaccines together. Most so-called "anti-vax" people would take a rabies shot if bitten by a rabid bat.

Fewer people would volunteer a hep-b shot for a new born. There are different reasons to be "for" or "against" any individual vaccine or shot, and some of those reasons have to do with personal physiology.

Right. The COVID shot, when the early, higher risk COVID variants were running amok, made sense for me, and even for my daughter, with her asthma problems. Now, not so much (and my daughter pretty much outgrew her asthma).

All of us (wifey, daughter san, and I) still get a flu shot. I was in the ER years ago with my Dad when he came this || close to dying from flu. It was probably the worst night of my life, and more so for him, at the time... And even then, I know flu vaccines often “miss” the variant, or may only reduce severity: They do not prevent infection.
