It blows my mind how many people are on assistance.
I have never seen a thin person using SNAP. Not saying they don’t exist, just that I have never seen one.
Dems...open up the damn government. This is all on you.
The “contingency fund” has about 50-60% of a month’s worth of funding.
I am sure it is an excercise to figure out if you fully fund for 3 weeks…hoping for a resolution in that time or fund at 55% for everyone for the month.
Either way it is not going to make “the hungry” happy. I put that in quotes because I am sure there is a good percentage of folks who are not really “in need” after three days of non-funding.
When you think about this, it is clear this is a propaganda tool. No kid should go hungry. But free breakfast and lunch are available at almost every school in this country. No school aged kid is going to “starve.”
It’s sad that our govt overlords don’t have the guys to toss these ingrates in social media off govt assistance.

SNAP Benefits Shutdown: A Good Time to Reassess – 54% of Federal Benefit Recipients Non-Citizens

The federal government should refuse to send any funding to any state refusing to share its SNAP data.
And I say that as someone who lives in NYS.
More here, alomg with a chart...

@nettermike
The 21 states that refused to send their SNAP data to the USDA are:
California
Colorado
Connecticut
Delaware
Hawaii
Illinois
Maine
Maryland
Massachusetts
Michigan
Minnesota
Nevada
New Jersey
New Mexico
New York
Oregon
Pennsylvania
Rhode Island
Vermont
Virginia
Washington
And, of course, Washington, D.C. is in the mix too.
These states are stonewalling because they know the fraud is massive. When you hide the books, it’s never to protect the honest folks—it’s to cover up the rot. Meanwhile, the states that did cooperate are already exposing exactly the kind of abuse the left swears doesn’t exist.

Look at how the numbers grow for Snap in California.
From just under 6 billion in 2019 to just over 11 billion in 2021
California received at least $12.6 billion in federal SNAP benefits in fiscal year (FY) 2024, which is 99% of the state’s total food assistance funding for that

A friend of mine on Social Security receives $20 a month.
Properly conceived and run government programs should increase the exposure and participation into the mainstream of economic and cultural life — and not merely create an increasing permanent underclass of “disabled” and incompetent ghetto culture that exists just for the exploitation of the socialist and Democratic parties to exploit in their protests and riots.
Get the amateur Dipstick Court jugheads to pick up the difference. They are the ahos worried about get the SNAPPER SLOBS and Miggies feed.
I’m sure recipients agree to lower their benefits so that immigrants can receive their fair share. The more you suffer the more it shows you really care Right?
IT IS NOT ‘42 MILLION AMERICANS”.
58% ARE ILLEGAL INVADERS
IT IS 18 MILLION AMERICANS & 24 MILLION INVADERS.
