Oct. 31 (UPI) -- A pair of reptile wranglers in Australia came to the rescue of a yellow-tailed whip snake that found its way into a resident's backyard swimming pool and was unable to slither out.
Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7 said on social media that Stuart McKenzie and another rescuer, named Howdy, responded to a Coolum property where a snake was spotted in a pool.

,,, it wasn’t that long ago that a snake was cleared out of the main concourse at Brisbane Airport. They turn up in all sorts of places if they can’t get water in their usual environment. When the Bathurst race runs each October snakes gather in the valley because they hate the noise the cars make on the hill sections. Melbourne’s a safe bet - it has trams and that’s it for risks.
Venomous snakes rescued?? LOL. That’s not the way I’d expect that headline to read.
I have Speer shot cups loaded with number 9 lead shot for 38 Special (use in my 357 magnum revolver).
It is not 12 gauge, but it will kill a snake very quickly without damaging much around it.
