Non-citizens should never be given any government assistance.
pretty sure the terms of my green card were that I not be a burden on the state, that meant no welfare of any kind. This was 30 years ago, but I don’t think that has changed
They shouldn’t be:
Immigrants should not be eligible for a period of time after they arrive. I'd suggest 5 years since that's how long it takes to gain citizenship. People should not be able to come to America for free stuff. It's a magnet for the wrong type of people. If they have been here 5 years and have still not become naturalized, then they should not enjoy the benefits and rights of citizenship.
And children of non-citizen immigrants should not be granted citizenship.
Shut off free stuff and birthright citizenship, and the freeloaders will stop coming. Millions here will leave.

I disagree. Nobody should come to the US to go on welfare of any kind.
The spending guidelines need to be fixed.
I support immigrants who come here, work, go to church, support their family....but not those who come here to go on welfare.
