JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said a man died Thursday afternoon after he was stabbed inside the Anheuser-Busch facility.
According to police, the incident occurred around 4:45 p.m. on Busch Drive, and when officers arrived at the scene, they found the man with a single stab wound to his chest.
After he was taken to the hospital by medical crews with the Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department, he later died at the hospital, JSO said.
The investigation into the matter is ongoing, but police said their detectives have learned that the incident appeared to stem from two contractors, a man in his 40s and a man in his 20s who aren’t associated with the business, getting into an argument that led to the man in his 20s getting stabbed.
Police said the investigation is in the preliminary stages, but multiple witnesses are cooperating and the suspect, who did not receive any injuries, has been detained.
According to JSO, surveillance video of the incident appears to be difficult to obtain due to union rules that prevent video recording of the production floor.
JSO also added that workplace violence like this is extremely rare.

Good grief. SMH
Ping
It must be THEM, Yogi.............
Kinda what I was thinking....the plant used to allow workers to consume X # of beers during a shift but surely by now that has been deemed a safety issue and discontinued....I hope. 😲
Duuuuuuuval!
These were apparently contractors and not employees................
I just can’t believe a union can tell the police they can’t have video of a murder.
“Never get into a fight with an old man. If he can’t beat you he will just kill you.” - Robert Heinlein.................
Apparently there are no video cameras to get video from............
Good grief, indeed.
But it’s worth noting that a union rule is only a rule if management agrees to it, and it becomes part of the contract.
This is yet another example of management not holding their ground. These days cameras should be everywhere. On the production floor, in the hallways, in the parking lot. Everywhere.
Also, the older they get, life imprisonment becomes less of a deterrent.
Knives and machetes are becoming very popular as American killers.
I remember back in the early 2000s a crew began work wiring the new quick roll up doors that were just installed in the building I worked in.....someone started the rumor that they were running wire for surveillance cameras and it went around the building like wildfire.
I’ve never seen so many people having a complete shit fit meltdown.....it was hilarious.
I guess the fact that it was a bunch of fed gov employees didn’t help. Lol!
My bad, I misread that. 🫣
any trained fighter will tell you that the best defense against a knife is fast running ...
Or as Richard Pryor said:
You gotta stay in shape, ’cause you never can tell…when…in real life…you will have to...…Run! That’s right, Run. Why – get – killed – when – you – can – Run!
That’s right, if somebody pulled a knife on you, and you can’t pull out nuthin’ but a hand with some skin on it, your intelligence ought to tell you to…Run! But people be watchin’ Kojak too much; they think they have to be Macho Man! I’ll take that knife and shove it up your ass! I’m Macho Man! You go from Macho Man to [sings] Dead Person!”
I miss Richard....wasn’t he responsible for pretty much giving Eddie Murphy his big break?
I have a couple of friends who used to work for Stroh's in Detroit. Beer was available to the employees in taps throughout the brewery.
Forty isn’t old. Unless you’re four or five, then yeah.
Most likely.
