But it’s worth noting that a union rule is only a rule if management agrees to it, and it becomes part of the contract.
This is yet another example of management not holding their ground. These days cameras should be everywhere. On the production floor, in the hallways, in the parking lot. Everywhere.
I remember back in the early 2000s a crew began work wiring the new quick roll up doors that were just installed in the building I worked in.....someone started the rumor that they were running wire for surveillance cameras and it went around the building like wildfire.
I’ve never seen so many people having a complete shit fit meltdown.....it was hilarious.
I guess the fact that it was a bunch of fed gov employees didn’t help. Lol!
