A new film about singer Bruce Springsteen called ‘Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere’ is not delivering the box office haul producers expected, at home or abroad.
This is not entirely surprising. Like many celebrities, Springsteen has tainted his brand by turning himself into a toxic political figure.
“Springsteen” launched below projections at the international box office with $7 million, bringing its global tally to a soft $16.1 million. The biopic cost $55 million, and since theater owners keep roughly half of the ticket sales, the film needs to keep rocking at the box office to justify its price tag.
And now, the core of Bruce Springsteen supporters, even those who agree with him politically, do not recognize the obnoxious old guy ranting and raving for ten minutes about the Bad Orange Man.
Bruce Springsteen burned the good will of some of his most loyal fans and the movie is suffering as a result.
Will Hollywood ever learn this very simple lesson?

That or there's some tax game at play where one korporation "leased" the music to another korporation for the movie.
Springsteen sold his rights in 2021 to take advantage of favorable capital gains taxes, and his manager/co-producer Jon Landau sold his rights in 2024.
My shocked face......😴
who would want to see a movie about springsteen? Who really cares
It’s a depressing movie. The movie is about apart of his life when he was suffering from mental illness. The time was when he was recording the Nebraska album.
Wish I hadn’t seen it because it made me feel depressed.
“I wonder what he thinks his legacy will be”
Just like duh-niro, snake head Carville, taterhead biden and neil young.....all will be remembered as bitter, angry dividers of the country......but rich as he’ll though!
Brice looks like a lesbian nowadays.
Can’t leave out the Allman Brothers and the CDB...
“Be proud you’re a rebel ‘cause the south’s gonna do it again”

That covers a long period of time. From what I see it is terminal.

Liberalism is a mental disorder.

And when he was cheating on his wife with the backup singer.
I’n certainly not paying to see this at all, however I do like the actor that is portraying him.
His role as Lip on Shameless was very well done.
I’ve seen the ads (can’t escape them, actually). I asked myself “if I can’t understand his singing normally, why would I understand his mumble in a movie?”
“Apparently, this Trump hating leftist is not nearly as popular as the elites in Hollywood thought.”
Do they not realize that the American people want Trump as president?
They don’t want this political nasty divisiveness. They want politicians working for America, like Trump is doing. They’re not interested in this nonsense
No to Springsteen. This movie will not increase its sales from here, Holiday sales or no holiday sales advantage. It won’t near Dylan’s story pic. Dylan has stayed way from divisiveness
This article is dumb
Never cared for him.
Funny. I was in a band 6 or 7 years ago and the members but me loved Springsteen. But guess what? All but one is a conservative so I know they aren’t going to see that flick.

I didn’t plan on listing ‘em all my friend......that would’ve taken TOO long
Lol!
Besides that, he looks like a lesbian.
Not just any lesbian.....
Robert Duh-niro’s illegitimate lesbian daughter.
I have always thought Bruce Springsteen sounds like a jackass who got kicked in the nuts.
