Identity of Driver Who Drove Off Santa Cruz Wharf Released

The driver who drove off the Santa Cruz Wharf on Sunday morning has been identified. 
The coroner's office identified him as William Westerman, 65, of Scotts Valley. 
Westerman died after being rescued from his vehicle in the water. 
According to the Santa Cruz Fire Department, crews from multiple agencies responded to reports of the incident at 9:44 a.m. 
A dog that was also in the vehicle was rescued and is expected to survive. 
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

    Back in the day, I drank a lot of Oly, brewed in Tumwater, WA. When they got franchised to Hamm’s Beer in St. Paul, it wasn’t even close.
That west coast Olympia was excellent, better than Coors ever was.

On one vacation, the GPS was set for the Motel, 300 miles distant.
We took frequent side trips and the GPS lady had to “Recalculate” many, many times.
I joked that she would get frustrated and send us off a pier.
That is my theory in this situation. Don’t ‘diss’ the GPS lady.
