The next conversation of awareness should be... What does the SNAP program allow people to buy? SNAP allows the purchase of alot of junk food that has no nutritional value whatsoever, sometimes it’s called empty calories.
That needs to be reeled in. Basic necessities, meal ingredients, not trash.

I just saw a video where 1 of the ghetto EBT queens is calling for a nationwide theft at 6:30 PM on November 3 where they want EBT recipients who don’t have any more money to go to their local stores and at 7:30 they all run out with carts full of food (Or whatever). And what she said at the end? “They can’t catch all of us!”

A wealthy country should be able to provide at least some assistance to its most vulnerable citizens - the elderly, the very young, and the disabled.
The fact that there are genuinely needy people in this country is a fact.
That this particular program has been mismanaged for decades, and there are people on it who shouldn't be - is indicative of systemic problems in administrating the program.
If we want to phase out the program, or reduce its scope - then do it in a way that causes the least hardship.
Many people receiving SNAP are elderly and/or disabled, and don't abuse their benefits. There are low-income families receiving SNAP, so this affects children.
What's going on now amounts to a huge rug-pull.
42 million and that’s just SNAP.
How about all other Federal, State and local benefits?
How about all church, charitable organizations and philanthropic groups and individuals?
