That is not how destructive addiction works. The problem is that the US government in general and Congress in particular are drug addicts -- in this case, the drug is other people's money, taken at the point of a gun. Enabling the addiction is the US voter wanting "their slice of the pie" at the expense of others.
Remember John F. Kennedy? "Ask not what your country can do for you -- ask what you can do for your country" Interesting words from a 60s Democrat, given the words from the 2025 Democrats today. It is like there are two distinct political parties.
Intervention can only come from the ballot box, at this point. And such intervention won't happen until the taxpayer actually footing the bill is the one who is heard. Or until the whole house of cards collapses.

Wanting to balance the budget and spending money they have for programs that are not in the best interest of the people are two different things.
He misses the intent of why the liberals are doing this. They don’t care about balancing anything unless it puts back programs that Trump has taken away that harm the people. So the appearance is he doesn’t care what is being spent, just that it has to balance. Idiocy.

The U.S. dollar has lost a massive portion of its value over the last 15-20 years due to exactly what Sen. Paul is complaining about. Are you OK with that?
Politics is about achieving what’s possible, not demanding the impossible and then pouting.
He is accomplishing nothing by voting no on everything and bashing President Trump. Name something he has accomplished in the past year.
What changes for the better has he done. NONE!
Rand is NOT serious. His plans has a $1 trillion debt this year and cut that in half over the next 4 years. His plan still results in $2 trillion more debt. Balanced budget my ass.
