Part of the reason I am asking is because Republicans are on an upswing electorally and there is a good chance that some blue states might actually become red because the Democrats are aging out, due to not replacing themselves with babies.
They elected Republicans instead of Democrats.................
Step 1: Written and Computer ballots. We get both, with written record.
Step 2: Must present photo valid ID.
Step 3: Chain of Custody for ballots.
Step 4: Chain of custody and valid signature verification for Absentee Ballots.
Step 5: State investigates any claims of voter fraud.
Basically, Florida has very very much attempted to make elections and people voting, as legitimate as possible.
Read the election law bill that passed a couple of years ago.
FL fixed nothing.
I lived in FL for many years and it was never a blue State. There were pockets of blue, such as Palm Beach County, but IIRC it’s always been Republican.
Real ID and Desantis getting a handle on the Broward and Pinellas county vote counting corruption.
I’m in Hillsborough county and in 2020 vote I watched the poll worker halt ballot collection and take a sampling of completed ballots in the box under the collection point. I was within 5 feet of her as I was waiting to deposit my ballot. She went thru the whole 1+ foot thick stack and looked at every 5th ballot. Count 4, then look at the next one, repeat. Checking results to see how many they had to mix in to get their desired result imo.
The republicans said
“run clean fair elections,
or we will run tim tebow against
every candidate you put up”
dems ran clean elections,
and lost every one..LOL
It took Florida 20 years to fix its voting systems.
Some of the major changes were-—
1. Paper ballots that are scanned. So there is always a paper ballot to hand audit if need be.
2. Corrupt County Election Supervisors were fired by the Governors.
3. Pretty good cleanup of Voter Registration Rolls.
After Florida was embarrassed during the 2020 Election fiasco, the above changes and several other minor changes resulted in Florida having the most accurate and fastest election system in the USA.
Meanwhile, other states, including RED states, are still dragging their feet on making changes similar to what Florida did.
So the FReepers living in those states need to start squawking for changes.
Just supposition on my part.
2018 seems to have been a huge turning point. DeSantis narrowly beat Gillum by 32000 votes. Four years later he curb stomped Crist. Trump certainly helped get RDS over the top in 2018. RDS and FLA GOP must have done some serious reforms once they took office in 2018.
Any election reform you can name was made possible by New York City running its conservatives out of town.
Maybe people just realized demoRATS hate this Country, and/or their state, and started voting properly?
Other than that purging voter rolls, single day voting, and NO mail in, other than an absentee ballot are a good start to a fair election.
Florida could do more. Still allows too many ballots at drop off sites. Way to0 many.
DeSantis made sweeping changes when he got in. And his first election he barely won. He almost lost to that drug addled homo. But as soon as he got in he made major changes across the state and when his second election came, and other people’s elections came up they swept red. This tells me there was massive fraud going on in the state and he cleaned their clocks
Lots of conservatives moving to Florida!
Including me!!!! Leaving Washington State early December and will reside in Florida 6-8 months of year. Ormond Beach here I come.
As mentioned above, Desantis got rid of crooked election staff in two of the biggest counties
The first thing FL did is stop running Dem-Lite candidates for the GOP.
Florida Republicans flipped the Dem voter registration advantage; Florida now has over one million more R's than D's. This change occurred in about seven years.
The reasons are multiple. National democrats flat out overplayed their weak hand causing any “moderate” democrats to get out of their burning house.
Florida has also been swamped with Yankee refuges fleeing blue state war zones. This is always a concern because - well, because they are Yankees.
However, it appears Florida has received the best of the worst refugees. So far, they are largely registering and voting as Republicans.
Also, President Trump has won over many Hispanics and they are a significant force in the Gunshine state.
In MD, the long voting lines are due to hundreds of thousands of non-English-speaking voters requiring lines with interpreters for many languages...
Trump needs to make election integrity a priority now.
