Seriously? The Senate is a nursing home filled with old people who lock up, forget who they are, etc. It's like the Hotel California there, you can check out any time you like but you can never leave.
If a dem "contemplates retiring" or gets indicted it's for one reason: the party decided it was time for him to go and so the wheels are set in motion.
