Here is the irony: purple used to be the color of kings and queens, because the dye was expensive to make and use. The color was reserved for royalty. So much for “No Kings.”

I read this during my morning coffee break at work Today.
I work on the street in my town where the last “No Kings” protest was held. It was four people deep, both sides of the road, for three eigths of a mile.
Leaving work I drive by the Chevrolet dealership, it was a haphazard row of street trees across the front of the dealership. Every tree had a lavender ribbon around it.
I’m guessing it’s cheap insurance?
