Burying yourself in student loan debt for a degree that will never qualify you to earn enough to pay it off doesn’t seem like a very smart thing to do.

I went to a college I could afford, lived at home, brown bagged it for lunch, and paid for each semester as it came up. Graduated with no school debt.
You just have to be willing to do it.

It used to.
That’s true....but then again universities sell the idea to teenagers that a degree from their school will unlock good steady income. Only after years and years of those degrees failing to produce high steady incomes down the road is it filtering down to the public that what universities are selling is a bunch of massively overpriced hogwash.
That has never been the case. Smart/dumb is the brain power with which you are born. Knowledge is what is supposed to be imparted at school. The math of loans is taught in high school, not college.

going to college doesn’t make you smart. For some, it makes them educated.
