Silly you. That doesn’t apply in my case. Always had very slim body. And in high school friends made up slogan, “Men rationed, Barbara caught hoarding”. At my advanced age, I still have more men than women friends. Maybe because I’m so old, I’ve outlived almost everyone I know. .

Men are attracted to women who are fit and not overweight, and present young, and by that I mean, yes, in looks but also in spirit ... and from the men I know the spirit counts more than the looks.

Post-menopausal women often come across as accepting of age and infirmities, letting the weight pack on, acting like oh (fill in the blank) is for the younger set.

Even if they're not yet "old" they present as "old", having thrown in the towel on appearance and staying fit.

I must be unusual, as I’ve NEVER worried about other women in the context of competing for a mate.

I’ve seen women tell me that, but I have watched them and seen the opposite. Women do not like their husband having an attractive secretary or female friends. They see it as a threat and act accordingly.
