As an observer of life, women, men, and the world - and I'm speaking as an early 60s woman - here's what I've noticed.

Men are attracted to women who are fit and not overweight, and present young, and by that I mean, yes, in looks but also in spirit ... and from the men I know the spirit counts more than the looks.

Post-menopausal women often come across as accepting of age and infirmities, letting the weight pack on, acting like oh (fill in the blank) is for the younger set.

Even if they're not yet "old" they present as "old", having thrown in the towel on appearance and staying fit.

So, if the wife was to say put on 50 pounds or so and cut off sex to once a month, the man may wander.

So you're saying the sweet spot is post-menopause but pre-obesity?
