NHS flu jab season has arrived, but some people are being urged not to take it. News
The NHS flu jab season has begun, with all eligible people now able to book. But there are two groups that may need to be cautious or avoid getting the vaccine.
Official guidance recommends that anyone who feels unwell or has a high temperature avoids getting the vaccine until they feel better, reports Yorkshire Live. The vaccine can affect your immune system, so if your body is already trying to fight an illness it may not be able to respond effectively.
The NHS flu jabs are available until March 31, 2026, and while getting it sooner can protect you during the peak of flu season, if you're already ill it may be best to postpone your jab until you are feeling better. More information is available on the NHS website.
The second group of people that may be advised against the flu jab are those that have had allergic reactions to previous flu vaccines or ingredients in the vaccine. The official guidance notes: “Most people who are eligible for the flu vaccine can have it.
“You only cannot have the vaccine if you've had a serious allergic reaction to a previous dose of the vaccine or an ingredient in the vaccine.

"Some of the flu vaccines used in the UK contain egg protein. Tell the person vaccinating you if you have an egg allergy.”
There are several types of flu vaccines administered in the UK, depending on your age group. The ingredients list are available for all of the vaccines online.
People who are eligible for the free flu vaccine:
It is possible to book appointments for these free vaccines over the phone or online through the NHS. Some pharmacies may also offer walk-in appointments. People can also book a flu jab by contacting their GP surgery or through the NHS App if they are aged 18 or over. Your GP can confirm whether your health conditions could make you eligible for the vaccine if you are unsure.
The vaccine can cause some side effects but these should be mild and get better within one to two days. This can include soreness around the injection sight, general body aches and a slightly raised temperature.
The flu vaccine usually takes up to 14 days to work and there’s still a chance you can get the flu after being vaccinated.
However, this will likely be a milder version of the disease and it can help you to recover faster.
The NHS noted: “Protection from the flu vaccine goes down with time and the types of flu virus the vaccine protects against are updated each year. This is why it's important to get the flu vaccine every year.”

You could better start taking vitamin D3 supplements. Some use 125 mcg(5000 Intl Units) daily in a tiny gelcap, others take less, still others more. It is much netter protection against flu(and colds) than anything in a needle and the microbes do NOT develop any immunity to it. It is cheaper and makes no complications. Or you could move to a tropical or subtropical land and get out in the sunshine every day. The D3 is a less traumatic solution and avoids the air fare.
I take The D3, Quercetin NAC and zinc along with a drink which has whey protein powder. The last is jam-packed with lactoferrin which is an antiviral milk protein.
There is probably better science behind the above than there is in this ridiculous flu shot
1. All living humans.
2. All dead humans.
Went to the doc for another reason the other day. The nurse that took my vitals asked about vaccines and as usual I declined. She mentioned no record of covid shots. I said nope. She said good don’t take them. 😂👍. She then told me some patients come in wanting to know when the latest booster will be available. She indicated they must be a little nutz.
Way more than that. None of those I know who have been taking the D3 got the vaxx and none of them got the WuFlu. Quercetin , zinc are good for cleaning up any mRNA one might contract through the air.
Getiting a winter virus, including COVID, is a sure sign one is D deficient.
