Trump showed video evidence of the strike, what more do you want a free sample?

Pretty sure Paul doesn’t actually care - he’s just got to play both sides of the fence.
I’m pretty sure that he can find out all he really wants to know about the situation without trumpeting and grandstanding to the press.

Paul would have objected to actions against the Barbary Pirates! Something Thomas Jefferson found necessary to do.
In fact drug smugglers should be treated internationally akin to pirates - enemies of all mankind!
You are likely correct, but that does pretend to force a response that is sufficiently public in his opinion. It does cause one to wonder what purpose that serves. I'm not comfortable with a government capable of wielding that kind of surveillance when the real problem with the smuggling of these drugs is the size of the customer base.
Rand Paul is a member of Congress. He should have some oversight ability and should be able to report to his people. However, limited release of potentially compromising information requires that ‘selected’ and trustworthy people be given access to the ‘proof’.
My recommendation is that the White House provide access to the Security councils of Congress. Yes, it may endanger operatives, but as best as possible they should be protected.
From a Congressional standpoint, I have a ‘Demand’ of Rand Paul. If a foreign government is deliberately and knowingly, attempting to transport poison to distribute and kill Americans, I demand that Congress does it job. In my opinion those are ACTS OF WAR. Congress job is to protect Americans and American lives, and DECLARE war when appropriate. Rand needs to do his JOB if there is proof, and rally Congress to declare war after he sees what he asked for. With power comes responsibility and Obligation Rand Paul.
Rand! You can count on him to oppose everything and accomplish nothing.

However in this case he has jumped the proverbial shark..
He has to know that Venezuela, Colombia, and Mexico are effectively criminal Narco-States run by the cartels, and are a real and present danger to the people of the United States.
