Microsoft, Google, Amazon are applying for more H1-B workers.
Well, a lot of Americans know how it feels -- because we were laid off when the companies hired you guys.
Bring out the violins. My empathy meter is stuck on zero.
Not only that, but we had to train our replacements, which added insult to injury.

I surely did not. I changed my notice period to zero minutes and hit the trail.

Or, plot twist, the COO is Indian of the elite caste and is sacking all the indians of sub-caste...
I worked at Boeing for over twenty years.
It was common practice to layoff people
on a Friday at the end of the work day.
They didn’t want people screwing up airplanes
as a frustration at an upcoming layoff.
I was never laid off from Boeing, my brother was,
he spend a year or so in another profession
and was recalled to Being.
He is a thirty year retiree now.
Woke up at 8:30 and logged in at 9. Probably lsying atound in his underwear and periodically checking email all day while playing video games.
