Mark Sanchez Stabbed In Indianapolis ... Hospitalized W/ Severe Injuries
TMZ ^

Posted on 10/04/2025 10:34:00 AM PDT by TigerClaws

Former NFL QB Mark Sanchez was stabbed last night in Indianapolis and is currently in the hospital with critical injuries, TMZ Sports has learned.

Police received a call around 12:30 AM Saturday morning to a street in downtown Indianapolis for two injured people ... and one of the people was the former first-round draft pick.

We're told Sanchez was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition.

It's unclear what led to the violent incident.

38-year-old Sanchez was in town for his broadcasting gig with FOX Sports, and was scheduled to call Sunday's Colts vs. Raiders game at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indy.

Before exchanging his pads for the mic, Sanchez starred at USC from 2005-2008, where he led one of the best teams in college football. He was then drafted by the NY Jets with the 5th overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft.

I live in Madison County and the only time I go there is to Community Hospital on the Northside.

That used to be a really upscale busy area. Now it is crumbling. Crime has killed it.

Most folks I know, including retired LEOs, conceal carry every day.

I usually have two, but never less than one.

I stopped flying because I cannot carry.

I am very careful in knowing, in advance, the carry laws in whichever state I am going to travel.

Some odd info around the stabbing:

Angela Ganote
@angelaganote
I know there’s a lot of confusion on the stabbing from last night in downtown Indianapolis.

This was originally reported as two people stabbed in the 300 block of W. Washington St.

But IMPD clarified saying
“One person was stabbed while the second person suffered injuries consistent with being in a physical altercation and was not stabbed.”

A person was detained at the scene, and this is believed to be an isolated incident that started as a verbal argument between two people.

FOX Sports says former NFL QB Mark Sanchez is in the hospital right now.

TMZ is reporting that he was stabbed.

The police report lists
a different name as the man who is the “victim.”

I’m only reporting the facts as I have them.

We'll always have this to remember him by...

On a serious note... I blame Rex Ryan for his career woes... The dude got to two AFC championships... He had potential, but Ryan sucked the life out of him with his own ineptness.

Hey, it’s FR. There are plenty of folks here who blame the victim, think attractive women who commit crimes are not guilty, etc.

This always has been and always will be nothing more than a joke. It sprung from the Debra Lafave case where her attorney seriously argued to a judge that she was too attractive to go to prison. It is merely mockery of that. No one who makes such a comment actually believes that an attractive woman who commits a crime should be let off due to her attractiveness.

Ever since RATs have been running Indy it has become a crime ridden shathole.

This pretty much describes any large or mid-sized city run by Democrats, which is pretty much all of them. It's probably best not to be out past 11 in those cities at this point.

Women in general are given a small % of the consequences men face for the same crimes.

When it’s sex (teacher / student) the female teacher is given probation; man is looking at jail time.

Females are valued in our society and men are not.

Update on Sanchez - he’s now in STABLE condition. Good news:

You can google butt fumble, but they only show the fumble and return. I believe the sequence was like this in 54 seconds of playing time:

New England scored and kicked off. +7

First play from scrimmage after the kickoff, Sanchez fumbles, returned for a touchdown +14

On the ensuing kickoff Jets fumble into the hands of Edelman who returns if for another touchdown +21

There’s one crime that will be prosecuted.

When it happens to the rich or famous, is when justice is finally done.

I remember that’s when it first started, but I’m not buying the explanation that it’s a joke from every poster that says it. I think some of them really think the pretty ladies aren’t guilty.

Take the story of the nurse getting caught in the act with her 15 year old stepson. Are you trying to tell me that all of the posters who suggested that either the boy is at fault (and lucky…they wish they had women do this to them), the real mom is at fault, or that the nurse was set up because she was caught, etc, etc, are ALL joking around? I think not.

I can’t comment because I haven’t seen the posts claiming that the stepson was at fault. There is likely not a heterosexual 15-year old boy who ever lived who could have resisted that seduction by the stepmom. He was clearly a victim. It did irreparable harm to his family situation. I don’t know how any reasonable person could think otherwise.
