How to contact an administrator at FR

How does one contact an administrator of FreeRepublic? I don't want to bother Jim he's got enough going on right now but I just posted two articles that were taken down immediately in the past few days.

One for Copyright infringement, but they weren't on the list and I don't want to make that mistake again if I should know something more, the other reason just said, 'Pulled' but I honestly did not see anything for the reason why.?

Who do you contact?

Try getting suspended for telling moderators to do their job and pull NEXTRUSH’s constant blog pimping which is against FR rules. According to the “moderator” he/she was doing their job and I got suspended for 10 days.

Well, I got an answer, this is it:

“Stop trying to bypass excerpt rules by putting the full article in the first comment. Next time will be a time out”.

I only did that with the second posted article and would never know one cannot do that? I find this a strange response. Where does it tell us not to do that?

Where? Excerpts must be limited to 300 words or less, and 100 for some sources, and just a headline for others. Do some study on copyright law.

The reason I began putting the full article in the comment section is because I did not used to do that and a Freeper asked me to do it because then he could read the article without having to click on the link.

Live and learn. I’m glad I know now. But I’m still not clear on whether we can post National Review articles because on that one I did not put the full article in the comment section.

Thanks for that link! Never would have looked under ‘help’ for guidelines although it seems a likely place for it but I thought of help as more personal issues.

Hmmmm....well, excerpting keeps FR out of trouble regarding copyrighted material. Putting the full article in the first comment 'cheats' the rules and violates copyrighted material.

Yeah. I did not understand this. I thought it just counted as my comment.

Funny thing is one time I put up an article and did not do this and a Freeper kind of yelled at me saying, ‘could you post the rest of the article in the comments so I don’t have to go to the article and read the rest. That’s the only reason I was doing it. It was a big pain in the neck to do and I honestly thought I was being helpful and considerate.

Duh!

You were trying to be considerate and people like me appreciate that.
Clearly the person who asked you to post the article in your comment is a fellow traveler who also didn’t know. Many don’t. I’ve made mistakes posting that I never did figure out why it was pulled. Live ‘n learn! :D

Yeah. Live and learn. The industry wants you to prompt a lead to their news article. Got it now.

Thank you :)

I do think the person who said that also did not know. I wonder if they will see this. Maybe now others will know.

Did you leave the bag of money behind the hot water pipe 3rd washroom down at the Darcy station?
