Back in 1992 there was no huge halftime show at the Superbowl on CBS., just talking heads and commercials. FOX aired a live episode of In Living Color, encouraging Superbowl viewers to switch channels during halftime with the promise that the show would end in time for the start of the second half. It worked so well, that the NFL has ever since had a big star-studded halftime show.
I think there’s a huge opportunity for another network to do the same thing this year. Can you imagine if ABC said “If a cross-dressing Trump-hating, pro-illegal immigration, Spanish language-only performance isn’t your thing, switch to ABC at the end of the first half for a special episode of Shifting Gears. Don’t worry we’ll get you back to the game by the start of the second half.”
The response would be enormous, just like in 1992. It would send a powerful message to the NFL to knock this crap off.
“...imagine if ABC ...”
The gayest Disney puppet on the airwaves?....You ARE dreaming!..........
