Oops-——failed to notice, noodle recipe calls for 1/2 c toasted sesame oil.

I would not use that much-—t/s/o has a distinctive pronounced flavor.

So 1/2 cup is much too much.

I’d probably use less soy sauce too. The amount in many recipes is too strong for me if I’m eating a large serving of something. Plus, once served, I can always sprinkle a little on after a trial-a-bite. :-)

Uses only 2 tsp t/s/o

SESAME DRESSING / Serve over chicken w/ Oriental vegetables.

Whisk or proc/pulse 1 c ea peanut oil, rice vinegar 1/4 c soy sauce 3 tsp dry mustard 2 tsp ea p/butter, grated gingeroot 1 trimmed lge scallion, minced 2 Tbl + 2 tsp sugar 2 tsp ea salt, toasted sesame oil pinch grnd pepper.

If you have access to an Oriental Grocery store you can also use Soba Noodles, wheat or even buckwheat soba.
