It seems the writer has caused confusion with a plural pronoun.
The boy’s obituary, the Facebook post about his death, and the comments all refer to him as “he.” I don’t see any indication that he used “they/them” pronouns or that he was “trans.”
Unless I missed something... I just wanted to correct the record here because his family might see this thread.
So sorry for this boy and the innocent kids who were there...
That was not an accident.
Agreed...
Teenaged kid
such a loss.
Sorry.
Honestly, the article was written properly. It’s some people who want to read the worst into situations. To some, they are hammers and everything looks like a nail.
The death of any young person is a tragedy. I feel so sad for the parents.
I agree...in this case, we should not lose sight of the fact that this was a boy who took his own life and traumatized his family and schoolmates.
I do blame the Left for this pursuit of what might simply be a red herring in any case. They have forced us to have to read between the lines instead of being straightforward about news.
Valid point. Thanks for the update. The info you cited has cleared things up considerably. AFB-XYZ
Well said. Thank you for doing all that research. It is indeed tragic and an unnecessary burden on the family to obfuscate to the point of mischaracterization.
This has NOTHING to do with the woke “choose your pronouns”, trans, or woke issues.
It has to do with basic forever grammar rules of “agreement”.
“the ninth grader from Canyon View Junior High shot themselves... “
“the ninth grader” is singular.
“themselves” is plural.
Correct would be “shot himself”.
Thank you for this.
Yes. Those who radicalize these kids will have to answer to God for what they’re doing to our children.
It seems that plural pronouns are considered default mode by the MSM until they know for sure.
thank you for the clarification
seems the writer of this article has not mastered the English language
indeed, prayers up for the family and for all the witnesses

I’m old school. I still view pronouns as having nothing to do with trans-people unless trans-people are mentioned.
