Political commentator Tucker Carlson landed in hot water after his speech during the memorial service of American political activist Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated on Sept. 10 during a speech at Utah Valley University by the 22-year-old Tyler Robinson.
-snip-
Tucker Carlson, the Former Fox News television personality, was blasted all over social media and accused of antisemitism after his speech in which he likened the story of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ at the hands of jews to the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
Carlson said that both Jesus and Kirk were killed for telling the truth. In the statement, he said, "I can just sort of picture the scene in a lamp-lit room with a bunch of guys sitting around eating hummus, thinking about, ‘What do we do about this guy telling the truth about us?' We must make him stop talking."
He added, "And there's always one guy with a bright idea, I can just hear him say, 'I've got an idea, why don't we just kill him?'"

Read Psalms 22…. Christ referenced this while on the cross
And Hebrew 2:14.
Christ became the one and for all time the perfect sacrifice… never again would a blood sacrifice be required for the remission of sin…
Should he have said people eating spaghetti?
Skittles and Lucky Charms.
Regardless of who did it, both Jesus and Charlie Kirk were killed to stop them from telling the truth. Please note, it was not a comparison between the Lord and Charlie Kirk; there isn’t any. Jesus’ sinless death saved Charlie Kirk from his sins and me from mine. Tucker was simply painting a mental picture of those sitting around plotting what to do about Jesus until someone offers up - “why don’t we just kill Him?” It is a rather dark and clear picture of how depraved we all are as human beings.
I don’t believe Tucker was implying anything about the Jews. The illogic and irony of blaming Jews for the crucifixion of Jesus is pathetic. So is this Hummus idiocy. I love the stuff and often make it myself. Oh my gosh ... Tucker must be saying I am involved, right?
This is straw grasping from morons looking for any reason to be outraged. It needs to be ignored.
I’m with you, Laz. Carlson said it reminded him of what happened with Jesus not, “It was the jooz who killed Charlie.” People are reaching because they don’t like Carlson and it just plays into the criticism that the left has of the entire service that was beautiful and moving.
“...keep the battlefield in the spiritual domain, where the root cause lies.”
This is good insight, concisely stated. Thank you, NK.
It’s not like we have a choice, or a say in the matter, but the Church Militant is the darndest thing to have to live in.
We know the primary malefactor has horns, red skin and a pointy tail. then, he shows up, looking pretty much like any other dude.
There’s a trope which proposes that, over time, sin in a person removes their beauty. Another in which sin creates an unmistakable stench. Saints on earth, among us, but not “of this world”, utterly suffused with grace, have, in some cases, such as that of Padre Pio, proven themselves to be uniquely sensitive to sin in others. As in, they are able to sense it, physically. Even smell it with their nose. Talk about a superpower!
Tucker Goebbels
Tucker is steeped deep in Replacment Tjelogy with rotten fruit. Charlie would pray that the LORD would rid him of this, and show him the truth, and we should also.
He could have said, “sitting around eating Honeycomb cereal and Pixie Sticks” and the controversy would have never emerged.
He never said otherwise. You are delusional.
The only connection he was making between Jesus and Kirk is that they were both killed for what they were saying, which they most certainly were.
You are reading your own perspective into what he said. Basically, you are looking in a mirror and getting angry at the reflection. Calm down and go outside every day.
He should have said, “sitting around eating turkey jerky and Doritoes”.
He should have said, “sitting around eating microwave pizza rolls and drinking Diet Sprite Zero”.
He should have said, “sitting around eating frozen Creamsicles and powdered Tang drink mix”.
Christianity remains the most persecuted faith in history.
Damned hummus-eaters! Oops... can’t say that...lol
Really the problem is cultural and societal resistance to the truth, which as we know is right there, ready to be grasped and believed.
That’s a problem among eaters of every different type of food.
Laz...stop...you are killing us! Lol
“The goofy laughter was cringe, as usual — yes,”
Had to FF only that part last night, that was really creepy.
You’re misunderstanding the post. Read it more carefully
Who actually killed Charlie ? The Lord or a furry loving nut job? Who faces death by firing squad? Tyler Robinson or the Lord
Who actually killed Jesus?
Listened to Tucker’s words twice. That comment was met with near silence and cringe with the hundreds of thousands. Doing that at a funeral is dumb.
