BENTONVILLE, Ark. — The Benton County Sheriff's Office says two arrests have been made in the vandalism of a Charlie Kirk memorial.
The Benton County Sheriff's Office announced Wednesday night in a press release that Kerri Melissa Rollo and Kaylee Heather Rollo were arrested in connection with vandalizing a memorial on the steps of the Benton County Courthouse honoring Charlie Kirk.
They're being held in the Benton County jail. A bond hearing was scheduled for Friday morning.
According to the press release, both women are charged with criminal mischief in the first degree.
Kaylee Heather Rollo is facing an additional charge of obstruction to governmental operations.
Benton County Justice of the Peace posted a video that was sent to him by a person who wants to remain anonymous.
"Everyone has a right to be able to express their freedom of expression. But what the issue is, is when you trample on someone's memorial, the human act of grieving," Bollinger said. "You're not just trampling on their freedom of expression, you're trampling on the memory of of a person. You're trampling on our Benton County values."
The video shows one of the women kicking over candles, ripping up signs, and flipping off the camera, which 40/29 News blurred out in the video shown on air.
In the middle of the Bentonville Square, there is another memorial for Kirk.
On Thursday morning, two Bentonville City Parks employees took down the memorial signs. They told 40/29 News this was to avoid being political.
Here’s a quick update. I just called the local Lids and they now say that they will make a ball cap that says “RIP Charlie”. Wonder why...
Gay and Gayer... Or is it Dumb and Dumber?
I suspect sisters. They have the same nose.
“Cousins” with the same father?
1920 was when one of the worst ideas in history was passed.
And since then, women voting has almost destroyed the country.
Everybody that knows NW Arkansas knows that you do not want to be in the Benton County Jail.
Criminal mischief in the first degree is a felony in Arkansas. Major and lifelong implications to being a felon.
I am guessing the big hussy with the dyed blond hair has some experience tearing down Trump yard signs as well...
Unless there is a minimum jail time, such arrests are virtue signaling.
Matching outfits! How cute.
Good luck with that, Mom. What a shame if the common vile leftist techniques are turned against you and your daughters. Can't put that toothpaste back in the tube!
I went to the mug shots without reading the text and thought the one on the right was a “male.”
I saw this story a day or two ago. The one who was kicking over the candles and ripping up the sign had a go fund me or whatever because she’d been fired from her job and evicted from her apartment for this. Now she got arrested too.
Good.
Having worked for Wally at their corporate HQ for 5 years I can tell you Bentonville, Arkansas was a really stupid place to pull a stunt like that.
I doubt she was evicted from her apartment so soon. Eviction processes generally take several months.
Sisters, on paper. There may be “family secrets.”
How is it violating her free speech rights to not be allowed to destroy property?
