Left-wing late-night host Jimmy Kimmel has attacked President Donald Trump for mourning the assassination of Charlie Kirk like “how a four-year-old mourns a goldfish.”
Kimmel showed his sneering disregard for the president’s empathy during his show on Monday night, alleging Republicans and Trump “are doing everything they can to score political points” from the tragedy.
He further made clear his belief Trump and his supporters are somehow “desperately trying to characterize the kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them.”

Cancel his show. He’s worse than Colbert. And a flaming hypocrite. He had a show years ago that was all about objectifying women. He’s a jerk.
And communist beliefs that individuals are secondary to the “good” of society. The “good” being whatever the ruling class decides is good for them.

I am in NO WAY defending Kimmel (the creep). However, his comment about a four-year mourning the loss of a goldfish was in response to a clip that showed Trump’s response to a reporter asking a question about the loss of Charlie. In the clip, the reporter asks how POTUS is holding up in light of the death/loss of Charlie, and in the clip, POTUS responds by saying something to the effect that he’s holding up good, and in fact, look here...here’s the new ballroom under construction and going well. THAT is what sparked the snark reply by Kimmel about a four-year old mourning the loss of a goldfish...in response to Trump’s reaction...that the President’s response seemed totally nonchalant, kind of “so what, ho-hum, etc.”
The clip I saw seemed real, genuine, although a poster on another thread said that the clip had been edited. If that’s the case, then I sure was fooled by it. Would love to see a confirmation that the clip had, in fact, been edited.
