Kirk appeared to be the only big political figure in his family. According to NBC News, his mother was a mental health counselor. Meanwhile, his father was an architect whose firm designed the Trump Tower in New York City.
Though Kirk built a reputation for himself as a right-wing conservative activist, he was raised by his parents in a politically moderate household, per The Guardian.
In high school, Kirk became an avid listener of conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh, per NBC News. He became more politically engaged as time went on, and launched a protest with a classmate in high school over the rising price of food in the cafeteria.
According to NBC News, Kirk was born in the Chicago suburb of Arlington Heights on Oct. 14, 1993. His parents raised him primarily in Prospect Heights.
The political activist attended Wheeling High School, where he was involved in school activities such as the Eagle Scout Association and the marching band, per his LinkedIn. According to his profile, Kirk also played several sports, including football and basketball.

sorry I was typing away in my slow manner why you were advising and extending your remarks.
There is a video of Charlie where he claims college is a scam. He's debating several student about this, and his main point wad that college did not necessarily prepare people for careers, nor did it teach them valuable intellectual skills. He might well have reached his conclusion while looking at major universities, and saw it proven at his local community college.
great one
Charlie has explained that when he didn’t make it into his dream college ... West Point ... he lost all interest in college.
As other’s have explained ... he believed college was not beneficial.
Kari Lake said it well, at his Kennedy Center memorial, last night ...
Mamas ... don’t let your kids go to these college indoctrination camps, after the horrific murder of Charlie Kirk.

Sad.
Agreed. Trade schools are a far better idea than college.
I remember taking my son who was graduating high school to a local community college where the HVAC instructor wanted to talk to him. What a different life he’d have now if he would’ve done that over ten years ago.
Both parents are very tall. I’m following a couple on social media who are very tall as well and their one year old daughter is adorable, but so tall that it kinda looks freakish.
I realized that after I posted. Sorry.
Thank you for that. I can’t agree that’s all colleges do, but many are herded along that path.
He said he barely made it out of high school. He went a semester at community college. Clearly he is not made for traditional education. But he self taught. So that’s something. Has a better education than most. He got two billionaires to fund him going around the country giving speeches at 18. Not many can get those opportunities.
and he had Limbaugh for his teacher, and probably Lincoln for inspiration as well.
I’m so sorry. All I lost was two school friends/bridesmaids to whom I had been close for 50 years. Could not listen to their anti-Trump screeching any more.
But losing a child over politics is like the first Civil War: brother against brother, child against father.
Ben Franklin’s son remained a Royalist and became estranged after the world’s greatest revolution led by truly great men, of whom his dad was one of the greatest.
God be with you and heal the rift, if it be His Will.
Perhaps they asked for privacy. What person vulnerable from older age would want their privacy destroyed in an environment full of deranged haters? They owe us nothing, having already given a great gift to the world.
By reading the great books of Western Civilization, foremost among them the Bible, and seeing how far off we had become.
I believe Charlie’s father was in Arizona
when they brought the coffin home.
I saw pictures of him.
Thanks, glad to hear that (in a sad way)
