As Kash Patel's reputation as FBI chief hung in the balance following the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the alleged assassin's father turned him.
Donald Trump on Friday announced that the suspect was finally in custody - 44 hours after the fatal shot that killed Kirk at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.
In the immediate hours after the carnage, law enforcement went after a man with a bionic arm, chaotic radio chatter has revealed. Suspects with bionic or prosthetic arms were plot threads in both David Lynch's Twin Peaks and the 1993 film The Fugitive starring Harrison Ford.
Law enforcement also honed in on a man in a suit, another person who was going to hospitals looking for Kirk, and another who removed an anti-Kirk online post.
The cops got off to such a slow start that they also resorted to raiding chicken coops as their hunt for the suspect turned both frantic and fruitless.

You are speaking from a place of complete ignorance
I was critiquing the back slapping as well, citing the same.
Somehow I avoided it.
The amount of bungling by the FBI, state and local LEOs in the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombing was really incredible. Luckily they were up against a couple of idiots instead of even slightly clever or trained terrorists.
They thought that how they looked in the press was so important that they had a press conference where multiple high ranking government officials stood out in the open in a parking lot. At the same time the younger Tsarnaev brother was only a short distance away. Luckily, he was hiding and no longer on the attack. If he had been a better trained terrorist, he could have climbed on a nearby garage roof and opened fire on the top police officials, FBI spokesmen, and the governor on live TV.
The FBI only realized in mid-mission that they were using un-encrypted radio links, so everybody in town was listening to their search planning in real time.
Luckily, a typical Watertown guy going out for a smoke found the terrorist, even though after locking down the entire city and searching the neighborhood the LEOs and FBI and missed Tsarnaev.
And of course the whole thing could have been avoided if the FBI had simply followed up on the tips they got from the Russian intelligence services, and other information about the brothers. But the local FBI guys were busy doing an investigation of girls in a strip joint selling counterfeit Patriots logo T shirts. Really.
Kash? It's Ragnar Patel.
See you in Valhalla, bro!
I have no complaints. Patel attempted to be transparent.
the fbi/cia are useless and staffed with traitors
I’m not impressed by the fbi/CIA. They got lucky
“Me too. People attacked me for calling H1B Patel incompetent.”
Yeah, because it’s a sneaky backdoor way to get Trump.
lol
The keyboard FBI Director in the UK could have done much better, obviously.
Kash and Pam Bondi have been disappointments.
Perhaps they’ll get better.
Perhaps.
Law enforcement didn't get lucky. Once the shooter got away from campus, it was just a matter of how long before he was apprehended. College campuses have hundreds if not more video surveillance cameras. A few of those cameras had high enough resolution closeups that he could be identified by family and friends. Once he left campus, police had to go knocking on doors to see if homeowners in the residential area video footage. At least one did.
jfk, new jersey drones, covid origins, epstein, las vegas shooter, missing manifestos, Jan 6— excuse me if I’m a little cynical. The alphabet agencies don’t have a good track record
They’re doing great.
If you go back to the KB case in Idaho, the authorities didn’t have much to go on to begin with. It was about a month and a half between the time the murders and KB’s apprehension. The knife sheath was sent out for analysis(FBI?). Security camera video footage took awhile to filter in of the car driving around at the time of the murder scene. That sparked some interest by a Washington St. university police officer to review security footage of parking lots at the university. That was additional information to build the case
