‘Why Won’t Conservatives Give Up Their Guns?’ Ask The People Shooting At Them

U.S. — A new poll suggested ongoing confusion as to why conservatives won't give up their guns among those who keep shooting at them.

"I don't get it," said one violent left-wing activist. "It's like they want to be able to defend themselves or something."

According to the Gallup poll, approximately 97% of armed assailants expressed surprise and bewilderment that conservatives won't simply lay down their arms and allow themselves to be controlled or openly attacked.

Meanwhile, conservatives were reportedly more enthusiastic than ever to buy more guns. "I want to be able to defend myself and my family," said local conservative Gary Russell. "I mean, people who disagree with me want me and everyone like me to die, so it's a good idea to have protection."

Democratic leaders likewise expressed dismay that conservatives would continue to refuse to disarm themselves in the face of open, murderous hostility. "What surprises me most about conservatives is that they aren't afraid of guns," said Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. "Despite the fact that people are aiming guns at them and trying to kill them, they still want to have guns of their own. It's troubling."

At publishing time, liberals expressed further surprise that people being victimized by political violence wanted them to stop calling for political violence.

That family was proud of the second amendment. The 22 year old had various pictures taken with guns through the years.

Democrats have been calling for gun control since 1934. No federal gun control laws from `1620 till 1934, then they tried again in 1968 and have been trying to ban more and more ever since.

1962-Call for Handgun registration ONLY! Rifles will not be affected.
1963-Call for registration of All guns and a ban on 5 shot army surplus rifles!
1968-Got a ban on small foreign handguns and 5 shot bolt action army surplus rifles.
1971 Call for Ban on small American handguns. “Rifles will not be affected!”
1975 Call for Ban on all handguns. “Rifles will not be affected!”
1981 Actress Lee Grant on ABC’s GMA yells...
“THE NRA IS A RIFLE ORGANIZATION! THEY SHOULD GIVE UP THEIR HANDGUNS AND THEY CAN KEEP THEIR RIFLES!”
1984 Call for ban on semi-auto rifles.
1994 Ten year “ban” on “a-s-s-ault rifles”.
2000 Call to ban single shot .50 cal rifles.

Rest assured if they get a ban on semi-auto rifles, they will be back for more, and more and more.

I see the rifle used was a Mauser in 30-06. They are trying to say it was a military rifle but military Mausers were made in 7MM and 8 MM.
I believe only SPORTING HUNTING RIFLES imported from Mauser were in 30-06.

This doesn’t even have to be satire form the Bee.

It’s reality.

Before the boating accident I had a Springfield M1903. It is a military rifle. But it has a walnut stock so it is safe. If it had a black stock it would be scary. LibLogic.

“Mauser” is almost as generic a word as “bolt action” is. Yes, military Mausers were mostly 7x57 and 8x57, although there were other calibers, not as common. But the Mauser action was used in LOTS of sporters, in lots of calibers, with many firearms companies using them. Browning, MarkX, Whitworth, Voere, JC Higgins, Santa Fe, Remington, FN (actual maker of actions), Winslow, just to name a few, and some high end makers such as Rigby and Heym used them I believe.

***had a Springfield M1903. It is a military rifle.***

Those things WERE SCARY in the 1960s when the democrats wanted a ban on 5 shot army surplus rifles and foreign Saturday Night Specials. They got the ban till Reagan OK’d the import of army surplus rifles again.
Years later we learned the New England congressmen wanted the ban to protect their own industry from cheap imports.

Yup. I remember years ago when they always talked about getting rid of the Saturday Night Specials but of course they would never ban anything else.
