In keeping with Charlie Kirk’s long-stated preference, I will do my best to remain completely factual. I did not hear any recording that had enough detail about the sound of the gunshot for me to make any judgment on what you stated. However, I did hear a report from Real America’s Voice that police said that they do not have the shooter in custody, and that many people connected with the investigation are stating that it was a rifle shot. I will hazard a guess that one of two things, perhaps both, occurred: either a rifle bullet was found in his body or very near to where he was shot, and/or a shell casing was found somewhere at the venue.
To be honest, it makes a lot of sense, given how much blood he lost and the precision of the shot. Generally speaking, most people in the heat of passion cannot hold a handgun well enough to make that accurate of a shot except by happenstance, as they would simply be shaking too much. It doesn’t mean that they cannot get off a lethal shot, but this one hit Charlie exactly where it would cause him to bleed the most, other than a direct headshot (and a neck shot is generally easier since the head tends to move around a lot more - just look at the assassination attempt on Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania).
