This is our kryptonite. Without Trump on the ballot voters don’t show up. It’s why Vance will be in a very big hole come 28.

“The GOP need a reliable and consistent turnout machine.”

The psychology between Democrats and Republicans is wildly different. Democrats are like the crowd in front of the guillotine, engaged, screaming for heads. Republicans are, in general focused on their immediate concerns and politics is something that happens in presidential election years.

I listened to a Republican trying to engage college students with factual arguments. They kept interrupting, cutting him off to answer the first portion of what he said. He had a hard time even getting a single thought out. Republicans believe this is rude. But rude is the Democrat’s default condition.

Too many differences to list them all. But it is damned near impossible to get Republicans engaged with politics at the street level. They are much more focused on themselves, their family and to a lesser extent the community.

Turnout in VA in 2025 among Republicans is expected to be abysmal. They just don’t have the knowledge to fight.

That’s why the GOP needs to do something.

That’s because, to us, government is a necessary evil, but not the center of our lives. To Demoncraps however, government is their religion, and also the big teat they suck off of.

This was a special election to replace Democrat Gene Connolly, who died in office.

Connolly won his last election in 2024 by a 67%-33% margin — his SMALLEST margin of victory in ten years. The GOP didn’t even field a candidate in this district in 2016.

If I was a Republican donor I’d be outraged if the national GOP spent even a nickel on this race.

Democratic turnout was down by more than 150,000 from 2024, based on the last numbers I saw.

Stop buying into this stupid Democrat media narrative. In fact, this sh!t shouldn’t even be posted on FR.

Virginia 11th, Republicans at zero Hope of winning; we’ve been beaten down here in Fairfax for a dozen years. I was hoping for a better response, just to show of flag.

Trumpers in the 11th District knew they didn’t have a chance and stayed home. This is also an activist, Marxist district that clamps down and silences any Republican candidate’s right to free speech. The heckling is extremely threatening and shuts down any opposing views.

I don’t understand why voters “stay home.” IMHO, that’s pretty retarded. Voting is free. It doens’t cost anything. NOT VOTING WILL COST YOU EVERYTHING.

The GOP has the equivalent of an air horn. The Republican base are cats. I don’t know what that “something” might be.

The 11th hasn’t been a Red district since the late 1990s. And after the minions of former Representative Tom Davis took over the Fairfax County Republican Committee, the turnout machine was destroyed. . .

The two open seats for the special elections were for gerrymandered deep blue seats that no Republican has the slightest chance of winning.

Republicans outperformed in these special elections and the Democrats should be worried

Why is anyone surprised?

A special election in a deep blue dc suburban county.

Of course the Democrat won big
