A hero Alaskan man prevented a Labor Day tragedy when he wrestled a loaded gun from an attacker who threatened to use it at a crowded fairground.
Jaden Perry, 24, was visiting the Alaska State Fair in Anchorage to help a friend take down a booth when a fight broke out between around eight young men.
The fight escalated when one of the men pulled out an extended magazine Glock in the middle of the fair, Perry told the Daily Mail.
He didn't hesitate, going for the gun and tackling one of the men while making sure the weapon remained pointed at the ground.
Perry's quick-thinking reaction was captured in video footage of the dramatic moment. In it, he can be seen unloading the clip and emptying the chamber while the offender still has hold of the gun.
After the man was restrained, a second Glock, also with an extended magazine, was found.
Perry said the gunman told him he was going to shoot in self-defense, despite the fair being crowded that day.
Shockingly, Perry claimed that while Alaska State Troopers were at the fair, they did not respond to citizens running towards them asking for help when the brawl broke out.

I think they were focusing on the hero and giving him the limelight.
But yea I was wondering if the guy with the gun was arrested and for what charge.
Just think. Sixty years ago it was SMALL PISTOLS (SNS) that had the media up creating hysteria. Now it is Big Guns that also frighten them..
Anyone who has ever studied mass shootings know most hits are done in the first 6-7 rounds. By the 8th the people are scattering and hard to hit unless trapped in a small space like a school room.
Big Guns = Weapons of War.
"What? Last time I got involved I broke a nail. You're on your own."
Now I'm not shy about yesterday's quote from Salma Hayek in Lonely Hearts (movie with John Travolta. She was a malicious, narcissistic, murdering psychopath.)
Hayek: Do you know how cops and donuts are similar?
No, how.
Hayek: They both are better with holes in them.
I resent our having to "take the law into our own hands" because of the lousy soft on crime judges and the lack of policing. Criminals have all the rights.
looks like the gunman is one of “them” ...

I think the fair is in Palmer, not Anchorage.
Well, of course. They could have been hurt if they responded.
NICE JOB !!! Releasing the Magazine AND clearing the Chambered Round with the guy still holding the Firearm. Smart, Fast and well executed !!!
A fight might break out between two young men. A fight with eight young men is a fight among 8 men.
Where are the editors? Where are the English majors?
Bless this man
Thank you. I was about to point that out.
It is amazing that schools of journalism don’t require knowledge of the English language.
Is it possible that autocorrect corrects things at the last minute without giving the poster the opportunity to correct the errors?
To the stupid journolista:
Unloading the MAGAZINE, it’s not a clip...!
I don't think so. At least, it's never happened to me.
And this is a London-based publication, where they should have command of the English language. But DM's text is a laugh.
