The kid’s cousin said that the shooter was outside of the house, behind the gate and waiting for the door knocking kids to return.
That’s going to be hard to explain.
A very small 11 too I believe. I’d say God would frown on shooting such a little boy.
Most 7 and 8 year olds were at home by dark, especially during the long summer days, 11 is still a kid, and it was just before 11pm on a Saturday night, not midnight, we called it ringing doorbells.
Besides, none of this justifies murdering an 11 year old kid or even shooting bullets down the street in a neighborhood.
It’s just another way the low IQ communists are trying to infiltrate our country.
Cultural Marxism.
The culture of our founding fathers was one of love and compassion. Particularly for innocent 11 year old boys.
It’s easy to say nasty things when you’re anonymous.
By the way, I believe many of these kinds of comments come from people who suffer from being lowlifes. The lowlife can only feel good about himself when he puts other people down. Like people who die in tragic circumstances like this 11 year old boy.
You people are anti-American.
Yes, God would frown. He would also frown on mocking the kid in death.
By the way, we were doing it in Houston when I was a kid.
Ringing doorbells or kicking the doors hard? One is pretty innocuous, but simulating a violent break-in is not.
One less idiot on the streets. Wonder if his cousin learned anything.
From the home owners side this could have been a diversionary tactic. Shoot to kill them empty the magazine and reload.
People keep blending two separate incidents. The door kicking in the Dallas area (I think that is where that one was), and this far more innocent one in Houston.
“The kid’s cousin said that the shooter was outside of the house, behind the gate and waiting for the door knocking kids to return.
That’s going to be hard to explain.”
Oh you think? People here wonder why I have no feelings for the kids? Imagine what that homeowner was thinking?
Please don’t say “call the police” in some areas it may be hours for them to show up if at all.
Wow. Your name is deserved. Seek help. LOL.
More details on the case are clearly needed. If he genuinely felt his life was in danger rather than just being annoyed, and had good reason to feel that way, that would add a layer of complexity. But all of us must use firearms responsibly if we expect to have the right to own one.
It took 20 minutes to talk the killer into surrendering, that is a lot of hesitation to explain what he did.
I bet we find this dude has a history of domestic violence, depression, and suicidal ideation. That is not the response of a stable person.
These kids were not innocent. In this day and age you don’t do this. I don’t care if we as adults did this back in the 60’s 70’s and 80’s the world has changed. Kids should not be out late doing this. Their parents should have told them to stay close to home and not wander the hood.
“Stupid is quite frequently fatal.
Don’t do stupid stuff.”
So, in your world, 11 year old kids should be chased down and shot in the back for any harmless prank they do. You are a special kind of sick. You really don’t belong on Free Republic.
Most of the stories say the kid knocked on the door. They are not clear whether that was with kicks or by by fist.
Police said the two cousins had knocked three times on the suspect's door within a span of about 15 minutes.

I don’t think it matters whether the door was kicked or not.
If the perp was running away, don’t shoot unless you want to wind up in deep...yogurt.
My inner boy from my memories laughs at your naivety. Boys under 16 rarely think about consequences.
They would not have been shot down if their ain’t $hit parents had kept them at home where they belonged!
Any parent here in their right mind knows a child going out late on a Saturday night is going to get into mischief! A good parent says stay at home and watch a movie or play a video game. Or at least play in the yard. A good parent does not let them roam around that late at night.
