Old time Swedish Warship naval architects involved?
Was the gun deck overloaded?

So tell me. How does this happen? For a million dollars you’d think they’d get it right.

And just like that, it did the Guam.

I hope the luxury yacht’s owner can look on the bright side.
Because now he owns a luxury artificial reef.

1m luxury yacht? That's like calling a timex a luxury watch.
$1m is hardly a dingy on a luxury yacht. Its the helicopter , jet skiis and the shore skiff

Last night I watched a YouTube video posted by WAVY Boats of a $10M (they said) yacht grounded during a nor-easter in Florida, with TowBoat US trying to get it off the beach.
Video stated that during delivery, both engines seized and the generator stopped.
They didn’t get the yacht off the beach. Video stated another attempt was going to be tried at high tide, 2AM.

The fact that watercraft rely on a screw in plug that requires manual insertion and has no feedback for installation or back up system for failure is just astonishing.

I’m surprised that it was only valued at a million dollars.
You can easily get into the million plus range in fairly mundane 45-50 footers these days.
Perhaps they charge extra for a design that floats upright! 😊
