Did you smell it before you saw it? Apparently, it smells like rotten flesh, but maybe that’s the mature version of the plant. Keep us posted.

Cletus; I think that those are mushroom stems without the caps. Difficult to identify without them. (Removed and eaten by squirrels??)

This is a better picture of Dead mans fingers.
