Was he a hunter? Did his father teach him to handle a rifle? The news hasn’t provided any information about this seemingly urban young man knowing how to handle a firearm. And if he has never practiced shooting from 200 yards, i still don’t buy the “motivated” theory. It was ONE shot.

From posts made here, it appears to me that the shot may have been a lucky one. Do I understand correctly that the shot ricocheted off the top of his vest into Charlie’s neck, and that 1/4 inch above or below the entry point may have allowed Charlie to live? If so, this would seem to be the opposite of President Trump’s Butler assassination attempt. One quarter inch either way ... life is sometimes insanely random.

Tons of speculation.
We do not know whether CK wore ballistic clothing.
John Wick not withstanding.

If it hit a ballistic plate, it could shatter. if it was soft body armor and his security guys wear that at least that it would have penetrated like a hot knife through butter. The distance of the shot was no impediment to the shooter, a scoped ought six does 200 yds like nothing. At any rate it impacted close to Charlie's centerline and you can't take an ought six centerline and make it.

You’ve brought a thought to mind when you reminded me about how the shot “ricocheted” off of Charlie’s vest, and the contrast between the attempt on Trump and the “lucky shot” on Charlie.

Gods mind is not like ours and His plan doesn’t always make sense to humans, But both of these great men have fostered unstoppable and worldwide movements - once when a man lived, and once when a man died.
