Pulte discovered that in April 2021, Cook entered a 15-year mortgage for a condominium in Cambridge, Mass., for $361,000, and attested to the lender that the property would serve as a “second home.”
Eight months later, Cook signed a government ethics form and disclosed that the Cambridge property was being used as an “investment/rental property,” according to the Trump administration official.
In four subsequent disclosures, between 2022 and 2025, Cook continued to list her condo as a rental property and not as her “second home.”
“Second homes receive lower mortgage costs than investment properties, because investment properties are inherently riskier,” Pulte noted in his complaint.
“This is extremely troubling because, in addition to other reasons, by potentially falsely representing the property as a second home, Cook may have received savings by not declaring it as an investment property.”
The housing director also found that Cook listed a property in Atlanta as her “personal residence” on government documents from 2022 to 2025, despite evidence suggesting it was being rented out to tenants.”
Similarly, Pulte informed the DOJ that the Federal Housing Finance Agency “has reason to believe” that an Ann Arbor, Mich., property owned by Cook and listed on mortgage documents and on her government disclosures as a personal residence “is being used as a rental property.”
Pulte asked the DOJ to investigate whether Cook “made further potential criminal violations as well as material misrepresentations to the United States Senate and the United States Government in order to, amongst other things, acquire and retain her position as Governor.”

It was an accident. Really.
[Joe has just found out that Mike was sleeping with his wife]
Mike Mathews: It just happened, Joe. It...
Joe Hallenbeck: Sure, sure, I know... it just happened. Coulda happened to anybody. It was an accident, right? You tripped, slipped on the floor and accidentally stuck your d**k in my wife. “Whoops! I’m so sorry, Mrs. H. I guess this just isn’t my week.”
Put the lying beotch in jail. Cell block D, your primary home. Prison yard your secondary home. Don’t bitch you’re making $12.58 cents prison pay/day after taxes. 😁
...or the appearence of impropriety...
And was the income from the rental property reported on her tax returns?
Nobody above the law that includes indignant black women. She still thinks her race card hasn’t been maxed out
She better pack her crap and get the hell out of that damn office. Handcuffs are coming.
She continued to do this AFTER Trump was sworn in?!
Note to Deep State: Boy, you REALLY don’t hire the front office appearance types for brains, do you...
Wanna bet a whole lotta Deep State fraudsters are now desperately trying to amend their paperwork...
NYS has the STAR program for property tax relief for residents.
I wonder how many pols and bureaucrats are cheating on that paperwork...
She will claim it was an “innocent oversight”, and they will let her slide. Anyone else would face repercussions.
Income and depreciation ( required)
“..Nobody above the law that includes indignant black women. She still thinks her race card hasn’t been maxed out...”
The communist left’s sacred ghettopotumai are above the law due to being a sacred, protected species. The “law” is for the great unwashed masses (that’d be us), NOT the sacred ghettopotomai. No one amongst the great unwashed masses is above the law. The ghettopotomai are not considered part of the great unwashed masses...they’re sacred and very special and are to be treated as such.....Spit.
It sounds like she “mislabeled” her name on the application also. It should have read Crook.
rules are for peasants
LOTS, this is classic MORTGAGE FRAUD.
Every real estate investor knows that if you buy a rental property you have to put down 25% and will not typically get as low an interest rate. By stating these properties were “second homes” she got a lower payment.
Just like you get better rates and lower down payment on your primary residence.
In addition, multifamily houses with more than three apartments are considered a commercial loan. Again, you have to put down at least 25%. Plus, you will not get as cheap an interest rate.
These are all well known by ANY lender or real estate investor. By lying on the mortgage application, she committed Federal Mortgage Fraud.
She needs to be prosecuted.
I have a sense that this is prevalent in the Dem circles as a way to invest in real estate and I'd look into who is renting these properties. Cambridge, I suspect these are rented to fellow liberal travelers probably on some liberal list floating around. Allows the perp to arrange a friendly solid lease, no riff raff, probably a Harvard employee - thus in 15 years they have a $750,000 asset with hardly any work. It's a payoff scheme I bet.
LOLOLOL!
One of my son’s buddies lives in Cambridge. His rent is over $3500/month for a two bedroom. He splits it with another guy. They are both robotics engineers.
A single bedroom apartment there is at least $2400/month.
Cross the Charles river into Boston and rents are over $4k for a two bedroom.
Boston/Cambridge/Sommerville have 30+ colleges/universities. With many of the kids come from very wealthy families from all around the world. A lot of those Browns stones on Commonwealth Ave are all rented to College students. Sometimes up to 5 or 6 in a two bedroom.
A couple summers back I went to a Red Sox game and parked in the garage under Copley/Back Bay Sheraton. There was a Lambourghini parked in the garage covered in dust. I asked the attendant how long it had been there? He said at least six months(how long he worked there). He said it was some Asian kid going to Harvard or MIT. It hadn’t been moved since he worked there. Someone had written WASH ME and a smiley face on the windshield.
I know the place, scratched my wife's tailgate lift on the low concrete ceiling there. Very popular, I'd hate to see the bill for parking long term there.
