Strawman fallacy. Nowhere in my post did I say shove anything under the rug or to not go after bad officers. Like Trump regarding the Smithsonian on Slavery, I simply want to see the good stories as well. I believe we will find they far outnumber the bad.
You can find the good stories and post them if you like.
But sadly those guys in the "good" stories are quite often the same guys who stand by silently while the "bad" police are acting like fools.
You know how you can tell that? Because the bad police don't get fired. They are "allowed to resign" and then they go down the road to the next cop shop where they are hired because, "we believe in second chances".
But mostly nothing happens to them.
They retire with big pensions. Their victims get, after years of litigation, about two years worth of their retirement benefits.
