Has restaurant chain Cracker Barrel gone woke? The signs point to that conclusion after the company announced its latest rebranding effort.
On Tuesday, USA Today reported, Cracker Barrel plans to shed its recognizable logo — which it’s had since 1977 — featuring a man sitting in a chair leaning on a barrel next to the restaurant’s name.

Poor management left them holding it.
Brand suicide. My wife and kids liked the restaurant, but I never had what I’d call a genuine “country” meal there and wouldn’t think to patronize it now. I consider its relationship to genuine country cooking and old fashioned general stores akin to Taco Bell and real Mexican cuisine.
It’s not like the old logo had the “cracker” being waited on by Uncle Ben and Aunt Jemima
They have two women (girl bosses) running the company now. As Nikki Haley so wisely said, sometimes it takes a woman. To really screw up the works, as in Bud Light, or as beta males that populated the Biden administration.
It was offensive to have an old white guy in the logo.
The CEO was put there to do just this...

My wife has liked the place so I am forced to endure from time to time.
I know folks who do their Christmas shopping at Cracker Barrel.
Won’t they won’t be doing that anymore, either...
No wonder! The person in the old logo was a white male!! Horror of horrors.
The old logo depicts a White man.
There is nothing in the entire universe more evil than a White man. Therefore, it must be destroyed.
The new logo is bland and boring, probably designed by a queer.

I had to chuckle…the first I heard about this was a meme where someone mentioned they had removed both the “cracker” and the “barrel” from the logo.
My brother owns a commercial painting company. He goes around the south from site to site when these companies do a “redesign.” He an his crew go in and repaint the whole place in 36 hours. They usually follow the carpenters and electricians. The whole process is kind of amazing.
So, as far as he is concerned, all of these places can redesign every 18 months. It helps him pay for his expensive hobbies.

It sounds like you seated yourself. In a place like that, if you do that no one is assigned to the seat. All of these servers think someone else has the table. That is why you were sitting there.
The days of a server working a “section” ended years ago. That’s why they all have “hostesses” now.
I love going to my local Italian place. They know us. We tip well. The crew sees us and moves us to their table. You don’t get that kind of service at a chain.

I always thought people went to Cracker Barrel for the food, not the wall decor or the logo above the door.
