I fully support eliminating PRC student visas for at least a year maybe longer. Also the need to cutback on Indian student visas. The problem will be thanks to poor STEM preparation by our K12 system many state university STEM & engineering programs will take a huge beating - particularly their graduate programs. It will take awhile to straighten this out. State K12 programs will have to be forced to buckle down and require real standards. This will be politically very hard to do!
