As an aside, Fogerty was one of the greatest rock and rollers evah! Huge fan here. He did 99% of the work. The other band members (including his brother) simply showed up for rehearsal to practice the songs that John wrote/arranged.

And to add insult to injury, the music biz back then was set up for the suits and John didn't even have the rights to his music.

IIRC, he was even sued for professionally singing some of his own music years later?

Anyway, the music game sucked for the artists.

I gotta say, this is the first I heard of any reports of him dying. He’s a bit older than me so I figure it could happen at any time. But still I’m numb to all those false stories about famous people’s deaths. If it’s real, it will be reported all over the place.

One reason I’ve rarely praised entertainers for being entertainers. It seems that most are not very good role models. If an entertainer presents honorable behaviors in music or theatrics, fine by me. I just don’t regard them as any better a person than Joe or Jane at the workplace or at home.
