President Trump has promised to move the homeless 'far away' from Washington DC, and now that federal agents are flooding the capital, local activists are outraged.
More show notes: Protesters fight each other in DC over homeless. Locals upset over police/national guard in area and believe Trump overstepped his bounds.
Others say crime is not going down and this needs to be done.
Is New York next?

It will be fun when the democrats complain about the vagrants, homeless, and criminals, that don’t exist, invade their nice neighborhoods. AND it will be fun to listen to the poor neighborhood activists complain if all those people, that supposedly don’t exist, are sent back by the rich white liberals.
It should help a great dal to deport illegals, everybody is counting on that.
“I think most of the homeless either have mental issues or substance abuse problems. Few are on the streets just because of poverty.”
My impression is about 80% simply don’t have the ability or desire to pay the high rents charged.
I suspect about 80% of the Florida homeless males used to work construction.

There are homeless camped out on the Miracle Mile of Wilshire Blvd.
There are homeless during the day in Beverly Hills.
“One young woman I met on the streets said that a shelter was the worst place, because of the risk of assault and theft.”
Even many men feel the same.
The youtube channel “Invisible People” is one of the better ones to get the real skinny on this disaster.
Here is one i picked up today about Sid Row in LA.

I have long advocated that the USG should completely take over D.C. No more permanent residency, and major businesses should be leased back to their companies. Embassies are retained by their respective countries.
Then infrastructure should be rebuilt from below the ground up.
No citizens, no need for government.
I want to help the homeless.... The truly homeless. I think most people do. Unfortunately, today’s homeless are largely career homeless falling into several categories: druggies, mentally diminished, and criminals.
True homelessness is usually a temporary condition. When you fund and accept something, it grows. That’s what we have now.
We need to care for our veterans, open asylums again, dump the druggies onto open arable land and tell them to farm periodically checking on them.
We need a worker’s corp. They can be trained to repair the country’s failing infrastructure, etc.
Women with small children can form communes to help one another so that some can work outside to support those caring for the kids.
Temporary housing for families in need and retraining if necessary.... With time limits...
All with consequences.
I’m sure we can think of some things.
My wife worked in the mental healthcare system for 35 years.
I myself volunteered when possible.
There are three levels basically.
The third level are the criminal.
The second are the mentally ill.
Those two levels have several sub levels and cross over into each level.
The first level are those who are homeless because of economic reasons. Very rare those to be criminal, but sometimes resort to drugs-to forget/cope with their misery.
Finland has nearly solved their homeless crisis. The number one issue is HOUSING. HOUSING, HOUSING.
From there, the help can be brought to solve most of the issues for the First level and the second level.
Its layered in the third level as well as the second.
The criminal element has to be addressed through the justice system.
The Second through mental healthcare and BTW, the present private/contracted mental heathcare system is extremely corrupt. That is why we quit.
Just look at the cost to house a inmate in the system these days. So, we want to make all homeless criminal?
Follow Finlands example.
Where I live, the truly down on their luck homeless is about <5%.
There are many resources available here for the homeless who will agree to follow rules and not use illicit drugs. Problem is, they value their addiction more than having shelter.
The other 95% are either deranged, criminals, addicts, or any combination of the three.
My city, per capita has one of the most “unhoused” in the nation.
We are sick of the crimes, the open drug use, the litter, and the dirty needles in our parks.
I think the very first step is to think of them as categories and then remove each category that you can, for instance get the mentally ill into the mental hospitals, then go to the next category, drug addicts, they are criminals doing criminal offenses, which means there are many options we can use for them and they will have to comply, same with the alcoholics and public drinking homeless, once the herd is thinned out and the public can see the neediness of what is left, then the public will be more open to finding solutions to deal with those who are homeless and don’t want to be.
Once the problem is seen as manageable and the public sees that solutions are available then they will open their hearts to helping the truly needy homeless with creative ideas, thin the herd, reduce the street mob by 70%, and people will be more willing to help the remaining, right now people are overwhelmed and fed-up, they just want it to go away.
This process will be helped by bringing back the pressure of ‘vagrancy’, which made street living much less appealing, not to mention that it meant the public areas could be cleared of the winos and hobos, who used to be limited to unseen areas away from the unknowing public.
The goo goos should hand out butt plugs so the hobos can’t get ass-raped in the shelters.
A modest proposal short of Soylent Bum, wouldn’t you say?
Removes them to where?
To quote some cartoon figure...( Was it from “Pogo”?)
I am so old (82nd year) that you guys might have to look it up for me.... I never have forgotten it - since it seemed so apt way back then in yesteryear.
“We have met the enemy, and it is us”
I think we are now there, and we made this mess, and not sure why the age old cycle has to work this way, but it does.
Clean it up. You voted for it and it is your responsibility.
Get out and help and quit pissing and moaning about it.
