On those rare occasions I have prepackaged ramen my first act is to throw out the spice packet. I’ll instead use chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
They also give you deja vu and make it look like entire paragraphs repeat themselves.
Having had 4 kids go through pre-teen, teen, and college years (in sports), I have always had a well stocked Ramen shelf in the pantry. They still ate me out of house and home, but having a cheap snack/between-meal/midnight snack for those feral raccoons saved me bajillions of dollars. (Factual staement)

That being said: I like my serving of Nongshim Hot & Spicy
Noodle Bowl a few times a week.
Sometimes, I may add Imitation Crab and Iceberg Lettuce.
Just Say No to the Noodle Police!
LOL! “Healthier hacks” are get rid of the flavor, substitute the noodles, and add vegetables.
Be careful if you have a heart condition. My brother basically lived on ramen noodles and died of a heart attack.
I ate ramen for lunch every day for years, mixed with fresh leafy greens and an egg.
You can. The bigger question is “should you?”
Culturally meaningful?
I’ll never get used to the fact that many of such ‘articles’ and studies are geared towards the idiots under the banner ‘millennial’ and others.
But through that lens, I get it...save for one thing:
The study avoids mention of flavor enhancers and the article cites it only once as a component of the flavor packet.
Thus stupid reinforces stupid.
Your average fast food burger is better for you than any sodium-laced noodle food.
Total DEI article : what does culture and immigrants have to do with the initial question?
Throw out anything not noodles or the freeze dried veggies. Lately I have adding a 1/3 cup of dehydrated veggies mix the wife had bought . For protein either sardines or kippered herring.
Delicious, fast and cheap.
Nevermind all that. Besides having no nutritional value, the noodles themselves are pure carbs, which will make you fat.
Being fat makes you sick.
Really!
Then why is it that when you go into the hospital the first thing they do is hang a bag of saline over your head and let it drip into your arm?
Sodium Chloride is the primary electrolyte in your blood stream.
Or is this just more disinformation from the medical deep state (creeps like Fouchie)
I have a cardiologist, a hematologist and a primary care provider. When it comes to dietary considerations, not only do I not have the time, but some of their demands literally interfere with other dietary restrictions, etc.
"Wellness" is exhausting.
I used to boil the noodles, then drain and stir-fry them with some oil, and frozen peas and carrots. Just a sprinkle from the seasoning packet, and a drop of soy sauce and sesame oil.
Is she related to Sum Ting Wong?
Back when we ate such noodles, we did exactly this: added veggies; half or less of flavor packet; added protein; added spices. It made a nice meal.
