Tragedy struck amid the long-awaited Oasis reunion tour after a man in his 40s fell to his death from the upper tiers of London’s Wembley Stadium Saturday, according to British authorities and multiple media reports.
Preliminary information suggests that the unidentified fan, situated in a section some 170 feet above the ground, fell as the band was nearing the end of the concert.
Police and medical personnel at the stadium responded to reports of the fatal incident just after 10 p.m. local time and declared the victim, who was reportedly “found with injuries consistent with a fall,” deceased at the scene, BBC reported.
“We are shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of a fan at the show last night,” the band said Sunday in a statement reported by the outlet. “Oasis would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved.”

Sounds like another case of stupidity looks like they will get sued for not having seat belts for the fans.
Lawyer E.Z. Money on the case.
Maybe even marched over him.
Thanks for the recommendation. Unfortunately, they are not coming to my area.
What they are saying is that he doesn’t have a stab wound or something, they’re ruling out that he was murdered and thrown over the side.
Britpop is dangerous people.
Videos of the crowd, they were in a frenzy. If only the Brits could be that frenzied about the immigrant threat they face.
Huge Roses/Ian Brown fan here… I was curious what was in store considering the John Squire / Liam collaboration but was very pleased when they chose Richard Ashcroft to support their UK shows. Had Ian Brown been on the bill instead, I’d have made a UK trip happen. Was disappointed that it will be Cage the Elephant with them when I see them in Chicago.
I looked at pictures of the stadium and don’t see how one could fall 170 feet. Certainly, if you fell from one deck down to the next, you’d be hurt or even killed, it’s just the 170 feet that I question.
