I doubt that was her first rodeo. It might nave been the first time she got caught. But it definitely was not her first time. She had done it so many times she became sloppy. Thus she got caught.

It is not unusual for patients to fall in love with their psychologists. In fact it happens rather often with people who are being helped and those who are helping them. It is not that you are so great it is just that you are quite possibly the first person to give them your full attention. And that is very attractive to people. Especially people who have problems all ready.

This is explained to you repeatedly and you are told that as the responsible adult in the room you are the one who is suppose to put the brakes on the situation even referring them to another teacher/councilor/therapist if need be.

To do otherwise is reprehensible.

I tend to agree with you. What they preach in their practice evolves from studies, not hard science. And it is subject to change with the political winds.
