“I am your host,” The Tonight Show’s Jimmy Fallon kicked off, telling his Monday broadcast crowd.
“Well, at least for tonight,” the comedian added, obviously referencing the recent cancellation of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Fallon quickly told the crowd he didn’t like it.

He’s worried something good will go against him in the time slot.
I wonder how much money his show is losing?
“Now don’t say you can’t swear off drinking; it’s easy. I’ve done it a thousand times.”

Everything and everyone in the daily news was fair game and he was merciless. So we watched to see if he left anyone out and he never did. It was such intelligent humor that we could even laugh at our own favorites, when they were in the cross hairs!
I sure miss him and I miss that approach to humor. We never felt either patronized or gratuitously slammed. He brought so much adult wit to topics but never descended to slapstick or to high school level smears.
These so called comedians and talk show hosts right now are not intelligent enough to approach humor in that way. Instead they only challenge Conservatives generally and Donald Trump in particular...repeatedly and predictably.
It's like beating your 80 year old grand mother at ice hockey and then acting like it's groundbreaking humor and matchless comedy. NOT!
I always thought that the late great Norm MacDonald would have been a great late night talk show host.
This guy will be next, hopefully ...

You can see/hear the death rattles of their desperation, in above link.
“I don’t drink water, fish ____ in it!”
Right, late night has gone into the toilet! Johnny was not political, and I don’t remember that Jay Leno was political either.
And Gutfeld rubs their noses in it.
David Letterman, Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien are long retired from late night TV. What remains are political insult comics masquerading as comedians.
When half the audience is continuously insulted by a show's host over politics, they won't watch the shows anymore.
Exactly.
Yes...got to watch Joey Bishop when we stayed with my great grandmother...good times.
I bet he does😎
He also trashed CBS on the air for a solid week. So you lose $40M, conservatively, and then you trash your boss on the air?
Yup, you’re a victim Steve.
Sounds like Dan Rather whining that the news shouldn’t be held accountable to crass financial considerations.
I’d throw Conan into the upper tier, as well.
True enough of the propaganda pimping for the feral left.
The shows are all past their use by date, everyone of them are political shills, even Gutfeld. The difference with Gutfeld is that even though he shills for the right, his show is funny(usually). The networks should go back to showing movies late night, overall it would be more entertaining than all this partisan crap pushed by overpaid, overrated and under talented shills.
