Sen. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., said the public "deserves to know" whether CBS’s decision to cancel "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" on Thursday was politically motivated.
"Just finished taping with Stephen Colbert who announced his show was cancelled. If Paramount and CBS ended the Late Show for political reasons, the public deserves to know. And deserves better," Schiff wrote.

Who cares? The Dems have made everything political and it is now a bloodsport. That said, why is this their concern?
Ratings in the tank helps however, whoever replaces this tool will be replaced by a tool
Rather telling that they are asking
Lousy ratings perhaps ?
It’s a business.
Like when airlines drop unprofitable routes.
The “Late Show” has over 200 staff. SC is a bitter nasty man.
These two clowns are utter lunatics, and paranoid to boot.
Of course it’s political. Johnny Carson, Jay Leno and David Letterman. Never engaged in this juvenile left-wing bullshit. Carson was asked by Mike Wallace why he doesn’t take on “the serious issues” and Carson said it was “dangerous” for an entertainer in his position to cross that line. Wise words indeed.
It’s their concern because it’s one of the last pure leftist propaganda outlets.
If they have to ask, then they know it is/was a political messaging program for the ‘tards. He can take his fake tears to a Podcast near you.
That’s none of their damn business. That’s the problem with communist RATS. The bass turds want to run everybody else’s lives when the maggots can’t even run their own. CBS need to tell them to go ...
CBS should reply with a single page containing one simple line showing the ratings for Colbert and the ratings for Gutfeld, and “Nuff Said”.
The public deserves to know about little schiff’s mortgage fraud.
Are they saying if his show continues it is not political? What am I missing here?
I notice the ones voicing concern are certainly liberal socialists.
Colbert was a political performer, Warren is a professional politician, Schiff is a politician and they are surprised politics plays into this?
Cancel the new MAD Magazine too. Without the original “usual gang of idiots” providing content, it’s not even a shadow or a reasonable facsimile of its former self.
So they are admitting it is a left wing politically motivated show.
CBS abd Colbert have a new boss, Paramount. New boss doesn’t find Stephen’s show cost effective. Not only is SC getting the axe but the show itself is ending. Sounds like it is more cost effective for the network to have reruns of Full House. Aunt Becky keeps her politics to herself.
I recall Johnny doing a bit where he was Reagan, it was a take off on the Abbott and Costello ‘Who’s on First’ bit. It was hilarious. But it was also good natured humor, not ridicule. Today’s ‘comedians’ don’t understand the difference.
