I like sorbet better than sherbet... because I don’t like fruity ice cream which is what sherbet is. Sorbet doesn’t have milk in it so it is more like frozen fruit, which I like.
If I’m having ice cream it better not have any fruit in it. Chocolate, caramel, nuts... but no fruit!
I’m with YOU!
Our family said fudge-sicle. Fudgicle is baby talk. Like saying basgetti instead of spaghetti.
When I was a kid we used to get those bricks of Neopolitan ice cream (Sealtest!) I would literally just eat the chocolate and vanilla parts, and give the strawberry (yuck) part to my big brother, who was super happy with it.
Not even strawberry?
I give up..
There’s a river in Texas called Purdinallis…….
and a county called Bear
and a town called Muhayuh.
My parents were both from Pa., and they also made the same pronunciation of wash as warsh.
As a military brat, it used to amuse me the different dialect of the same language that existed in different parts of the nation.
Though I never set foot in New England, their pronunciation of car as caaaaa always made me laugh when I would hear it.
People would laugh at me for calling our first President as George Warshington. 😁👍
Never eat chocolate ice cream.. unless it’s a premium brand.
Why? Any batches that get screwed up... end up being chocolate.
Obviously not dangerous, but off flavors and the like, becomes chocolate..
> Hagen Dazs has new SUMMER special SORBET that are out of this world: mango, blueberries & lemon, Coconut & lemon, and my fav. Passion Fruit and Sweet Pear.
That sounds amazing but I can’t have much of it! The sugar kills me.
Lately I’ve been eating Halo ice cream which has no sugar and is low carb. Best of all you can eat an entire pint and it’s just 300 calories. Because once a container of ice cream is open, it’s physically impossible not to finish it! LOL.
No. Thats an actual question? 😂
My folks were from eastern PA.
They used to say aahf instead of ‘off’. And caahfee.
> Not even strawberry?
Nope! My hubby doesn’t understand it either.
“You like strawberries, right?”
“Yup.”
“And you like whipped cream on them... right?”
“Sure!”
“So why don’t you like strawberry ice cream?”
“(shrug)”
> Never eat chocolate ice cream.. unless it’s a premium brand.
Life’s too short to eat cheap ice cream! (or drink cheap scotch) I don’t indulge very often, so it better be top shelf.
From Target.
In Md. I worked for this guy who I was convinced was an immigrant from a foreign country due to his think accent. When I asked him where he hailed from I had to have him repeat it 3 times before he said it slow enough for me to understand, that he was saying Southern Md.
> I knew my days were numbered at that job. 🤣
I use a small melonballer to scoop 3 or 4 tiny balls of the sorbet, but it's SO good, I could eat the entire container at one sitting; but I don't.
Sometimes I put a couple of scoops of sherbert or sorbet on top of a mixed berry compote...it's really good that way.
LOL!!!!!!!!!
